Founded in 2013, LOQUI began as a weekly pop-up at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco, CA. For three years, LOQUI offered customers one item from a rotating menu that highlighted the tradition and simplicity reminiscent of native recipes — bringing unique Mexican tastes to life.

In 2016, LOQUI officially established roots in Southern California. The Culver City brick and mortar marked a new beginning in LA with the goal of serving honest Mexican eats that embody the flavor and soul of the delicious food found at favorite taquerias throughout Mexico. 

LOQUI’s second location opened in DTLA’s vibrant Arts District in November 2019 followed by Free Market Playa Vista in May 2021.
