Founded in 2013, LOQUI began as a weekly pop-up at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco, CA. For three years, LOQUI prepared recipes that brought unique Mexican tastes to life, offering their loyal following one item from a rotating menu. Highlighted by the tradition and simplicity reminiscent of Mexican recipes, the menu consisted of carne - asada perrones, carnitas, fish tacos, birria and cemitas. Flour tortillas were always homemade and corn tortillas were pressed to order using fresh masa.

In 2016, LOQUI officially establishing roots in Southern California. The Culver City brick and mortar marked a new beginning in LA with the goal of serving honest Mexican eats that embody the flavor and soul of the delicious food found at our favorite taquerias throughout Mexico. We opened our second location in DTLA’s vibrant Arts District in November 2019.
